Illusion knit DNA

My first go at illusion or shadow knitting.
It's a DNA pattern I found on ravelry.

I made it into a hairband, but I didn't have time to take a good picture.
It was a present for a friend who just obtained her PhD on the topic of DNA methylation in lung cancer.
